WIT ( non-profit institute ) was established by a strategic partnership between Al Watania Poultry co. and TVTC , in order to support poultry industry through providing qualified and well-trained Saudi cadres under the auspices of experts in the compliance of the highest professional standards and the market’s needs in the field of poultry industry in K.S.A.

Development of substantive knowledge and skills for the national workforce in order to nationalize technical jobs in the field of poultry and its support services, starting from Alwatania Poultry, and contributing to the development of the poultry industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

QUALITY POLICY STATEMENT

Al Watania Poultry Institute of Technology “WIT” is committed to providing quality learning in the field of poultry production science and technology and its support services. WIT aspires to establish a quality assurance system which would continuously evaluate and monitor the quality of education and training imparted at the institute in order to improve the teaching – learning process and ultimately develop the institute as the “First Choice in its Class” on a global basis.

Accredited training programmes offered by the institute shall comply with National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) and National Qualification Frameworks (NQF) and instil industry orientation and practical approaches in employees so that they become capable to add value in their jobs. WIT undertakes industry orientated teaching, training and research, extension programmes, consultancy and provides employable skills to young people aiming to contribute to the development of the nation.

WIT believes in the provision of a healthy working environment and employees’ welfare to constantly endeavour to upgrade its internal quality assurance system by benchmarking the criteria defined by local and international accreditation agencies and standards organizations.

CURRICULUMS AND TRAINING

Vocational standards were created by experts (locally and internationally) in the poultry industry under the auspices of TVTC. The discipline curriculums were written by experts of poultry industry in cooperation with one of the oldest aviculture company in the world (Cobb – USA) which is an internationally pioneering company in the field of poultry consolidation and part of Tyson Food group companies. The first year of training consists of an English intensive course, general preparation subjects and basic skills in poultry industry. The second year of training consists of intensive theoretical and practical training on different subjects of poultry processing. The students spend not less than two months before graduation in on-the-job training in the company that they belong to.

FEATURES

The student is directly considered as an employee as soon as he is accepted in the institute.
Receiving a monthly salary of 1500-2000 S.R. (While training).
Medical insurance (the family is included when the employee is married).
Social Security subscription and benefits (GOSI).
After graduation, the student is awarded an accredited and internationally recognised certificate from TVTC.

THE TRAINING LANGUAGE

The student will be given an intensive course in English, the official language in lectures and practical training.
